Jared Reid Dynamo Services Director Licensed Diesel Generator Mechanic

In 2006 Jared completed his apprenticeship as a Diesel Mechanic and is the founder of Dynamo Services with his wife Michelle.

After 4 years as an Marine Technician in the Royal Australian Navy and with a young family now at home Jared decided it was time to leave the Navy and started Dynamo Services in 2018.

Growing the business, Jared regularly services large scale generators for some of Australia’s largest hire companies. 

Moving to Ebenezer, Jared saw an opportunity to offer his services to local residents by supplying standby generators and providing maintenance and repair services. He enjoys meeting new locals and assisting them with their power source needs.

Jared loves getting out on the weekends and cruising down the river in their boat with Michelle, their 2 young boys and Border Collies, Spot and Shelby.

Michelle works behind the scenes supporting Jared in the day to day running of the business including finances, invoicing, payroll and managing stock. If you have scheduled maintenance and service of your generators with us then you’ll most likely receive a call from Michelle to remind you of a pending service.

Prior to joining the family business in 2019, Michelle managed her own business where she provided dance classes to preschool aged children. This gave her invaluable experience regarding running a business and she has stepped into her role supporting Jared and the wider team seamlessly.

Most days Michelle is kept busy running around after her and Jared’s two young boys and their Border Collies, Spot or Spot Dog as they so passionately call him and the new addition Shelby. Michelle also enjoys being out in nature with her family and practising yoga when she can.

Aiden Dynamo Services Apprentice Diesel Generator Mechanic Sydney

Aodhan joined the team in 2021 and is currently undertaking his Certificate III Heavy Vehicle Diesel Mechanic qualifications at TAFE.

While building his knowledge and expertise in both commercial and domestic sized generators, Aodhan enjoys working on a variety of equipment each and every day along side his team members and is excited to take the lead on a variety of projects as he moves this way through his apprenticeship.

Outside of work and studying, Aodhan enjoys riding his dirt bike, working on his car and hanging out with his mates!
